Hydrostatic Testing

Hyrdrostatic TestingCity and state codes require that your fire protection system is properly designed and tested prior to building occupancy. One test that is always required is call a Hydrostatic test. Hydrostatic testing applies an elevated pressure (200 psi) to the system for a period of time and looks for defects and deficiencies that may or may not show up under normal operating pressures. All new systems must be subjected to hydrostatic testing, and all system modifications or additions affecting 20 sprinkler heads or more prompt a required hydrostatic test.

Macomb Mechanical Fire Protection is certified to perform the proper hydrostatic testing of your fire protection system; contact us today to schedule your hydrostatic testing appointment.
